Odense Katedralskole

Since 2014, Odense Katedralskole and The Royal Danish Theatre Ballet School, Odense have had a unique cooperation concerning a new education in classical ballet and modern dance at the STX level.  The education is known as Akademiet for Moderne dans Og Klassisk ballet - dansegrunduddannelse, also known as AMOK DGU.

The education, thanks to Odense Katedralskole, is an elite 4-year STX education with focus on the dance arts and is approved by the Ministry of Culture to include 4 years of SU. It is a groundbreaking education that combines dance and academics and qualifies the student for higher education.  

Odense Katedralskole is once of the oldest high schools in the country, with focus on traditional courses as well as innovation in the field of pedagogical development including classroom direction, methods of supervision, working with teams, and a cooperation with Team Denmark, MGU, and now DGU.  Read more about Odense Katedralskole here…

Akademiet for Moderne dans Og Klassisk ballet (AMOK DGU) is housed together with The Royal Danish Theatre Ballet School, Odense. The school’s offices are on the top floor.
